PRINCETON -- Atle Selberg, who won mathematics' highest prizes for his work on the properties of numbers, has died. He was 90. Mr. Selberg died Aug. 6 at his home in Princeton, according to the Institute for Advanced Study, where Mr. Selberg was an emeritus professor.
