The East Somerville Community School hosted an afternoon of hands-on mathematics for third- and fourth-graders Friday, March 11. Students sharpened their minds with math fun as they rotated through different classrooms. Working with patterned paper in the quadrilateral kites room, fourth-graders made squares, rectangles and rhombuses into brightly decorated kite designs.
